Building Kinship: Community Gatherings, Hear & Now Conversations

Everybody As Our Own was created to be a mission, a movement, and gathering of hearts and souls to create the beloved community.

Our current initiatives are focused on seeking racial and criminal justice, developing anti-racist beliefs and identities, and practicing and promoting peaceful conflict resolution. We do this by leading, modeling and encouraging authentic, respectful conversations and community engagement – especially telling and sharing our stories – and by promoting and facilitating empathy and kinship with each other.

The Right to Vote: A Foundation of Democracy
Voting Rights Image

Voting is the cornerstone of a functioning democracy.

It's not just a right but a responsibility that empowers citizens to shape their communities and futures. Despite significant progress since the ratification of the 14th and 15th Amendments, challenges to voting rights persist, especially among marginalized communities. By understanding the history and current landscape of voting rights, we can take informed actions to protect and expand this fundamental right for all.

#Not In My Name
End White Silence

Reach out and initiate productive and healing conversations with your local law enforcement to stop fear-based violence.

Police violence against unarmed people of color is often justified or excused in the name of keeping white people, businesses, and communities safe. The escalating fear this creates is now overwhelming both sides, and the results are toxic for all.

#Not In My Name is a movement to help dispel this false, fear-based justification and enable anti-racists everywhere to engage in direct, honest, and caring outreach to local police forces to ensure alternatives to using violence in the name of white safety.
