You’re Invited: The Rest of the Story – A Community Conversation on History, Truth, and Healing

Dear Friends,

In America, we take great pride in honoring our national story—through holidays like Independence Day, Memorial Day, and Presidents’ Day. We revere the founding fathers and their contributions to shaping what we call American greatness. And while these celebrations hold meaning, they are not the whole story.

If we are to tell the story of America, we must tell all of it.

What about the stories that are harder to face—the ones about those crushed under the weight of America’s cruelty? What about the legacy of white supremacy and how it has shaped our culture, our character, and our present moment?

These are difficult conversations, but necessary ones. Without truth, there can be no healing. Without acknowledgment, the lie continues.
